Last Baby Shower

On Friday at school, my team threw me a BEAUTIFUL baby shower! Don't you just love the cake? I do!!! It is so cute and it was good! I had a great time at the shower and got some more nice things for Logan. We got some more outfits, baby wash and lotion, a couple of books, shopping cart liner, a care kit, thermometer and some gift cards! I can't wait to go out and do some shopping! We will probabbly go this coming weekend, since our sonogram is on Tuesday and we should have an idea of how much he will weigh when he is born. We need to find the special outfit that we will bring him home in. The book we got is called On The Night You Were Born and it is such a cute story! I plan to take the book to the hospital and read it to Logan on his first night! Thanks to everyone for all of the wonderful gifts-I am so lucky to be working at such an AWESOME school!!
When I updated on Thursday I mentioned that my blood pressure was high at my appointment. Well, I took it twice Thursday night and twice Friday morning and it was still high. I called the doctor Friday and she wants me to go in tomorrow afternoon for some bloodwork. They will be testing to see if I have preeclampsia. I won't know anything for sure at that appointment, but hopefully by Tuesday. I will update anyway on Tuesday, with the results from the sono. Hopefully I have nothing severe and will be able to continue working until the 11th. I will get to be there for most of the day tomorrow, but I won't be able to walk the kiddos out at the end of the day. Oh well, I'll be able to do it on Tuesday. I'm excited to meet my kids and see what they are going to be like. I am off to make my lunch and then go to bed!

4 Weeks (or less) To Go!

The time is just flying by until Logan gets here! Summer is over and it is time to start back to work, but that means that he will be here in 4 weeks or less! Since I last wrote, Jason and I took our vacation down to Port Aransas. My feet swelled up pretty bad on the way down there, but then didn't get too bad while we were there. It was a nice get away, but I was glad to come back. We didn't do much down there except lay out at the beach and by the pool and did a little but of fishing. We took a nap everyday! On the way back home, Jason drove the entire way so that my feet wouldn't swell up as bad.
This week was inservice for the teachers. It has been ok being back. My feet swell up a lot by the end of the day and I am not completely ready for the kids to be back yet. But, I have one more day to get ready before they are here! I am excited to meet my kids and get to know them a little bit before I leave. My last day of work will be September 11th and I will return on December 5th.
I saw Dr. Duran today. When I first got there the nurse took my blood pressure and it was 132/102! She said that was high and I needed to lay down on my left side for 10 minutes. Dr. Duran came in while I was resting and talked to me for a little bit. She said she is going out of town August 26th-September 3rd and told Logan to hang on while she's gone. I told her I am hoping I make it to the 11th so I don't have to miss more work. She also said that when she gets back in 2 weeks she will start checking to see if I'm dilated any. Then she left for a few more minutes and the nurse took my bp again and it was 132/98! Dr. Duran came back in and didn't seem too concerned. She did decide to go ahead and check me, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and said that I am dilated 1cm! She said it seems that I am well on my way to something maybe happening on its own. I go for a sonogram next Tuesday and they will tell us how much Logan weighs. Then I will see the nurse at my appointment next Wednesday and then on September 4th I will see Dr. Duran and she will check me again. She just said we will take it week by week and see what happens. For tonight and tomorrow and I need to take my blood pressure and call tomorrow to report my numbers-pray that they are good-I'm not sure what they will do if they are still high. In the meantime, enjoy the pictures and I will post again next week, after my appointments!

Let the Countdown Begin!

Well, I cannot believe that I am only 6 weeks away from my due date!! How exciting!! I had my 34 week check-up today and Dr. Duran still says that things are going great! I gained 1.6 lbs, for a total since January of 15 lbs, but only 8 lbs above what I normally weigh. Logan's heartbeat was strong at 158 and my belly measured 33 weeks. I go back in two weeks for my next appointment and then begin weekly visits. At 37 weeks I will also be getting a sonogram done to see how big Logan is. At that point, Dr. Duran will discuss with us more about when she things Logan will arrive!
I also got permission today to go out of town next week. I only have one more full week until I have to be back at work, so Jason and I are taking a mini-vacation down to Port Aransas. We are staying at a hotel that is right by the beach. I plan to relax by the pool and on the beach and Jason wants to do some fishing. It's just a small trip to get out of the house before Logan is here. It should be nice and relaxing and I am looking forward to it. While we are gone Mocha will be staying with Jason's parents. I know she will have lots of fun there.
I am posting some new pictures this week. We finally hung up the letters above Logan's crib. I am also putting up a picture of my carseat (it is not in the car yet, but will be very soon), our swing, the changing table and Logan's closet (which I still plan to organize ever more). I think I have started nesting a little bit :) We are having a garage sale tomorrow and Saturday because the guest closet was filled with stuff I'd been collecting for one, so it will feel good to get all of that out of here! I am also posting my 34 week belly. Enjoy it all and I will do my best to start posting weekly!
