Baby Shower Weekend

Alright, this past weekend was full of fun! My mom was in town for 2 baby showers- one with my friends and one with Jason's family. We had a great time at both showers and got LOTS and LOTS of stuff for Logan. Our living room was full! Thank goodness that my mom came out, because I sure needed the help going through everything and putting it all away. After each shower we sorted through all the gifts, washed the clothes and put them away in Logan's room. Jason also worked very hard putting all of the big stuff together. I can safely say that we are READY for Logan to be here! We have enough stuff to get us through the first 6 months. I also have one more baby shower at work in August, so I'm sure that will help us get through the first year. It is so amazing to see how loved Logan Brent already is, by our wonderful family and friends! Jason and I thank everyone for all of their love and support during this big change in our lives. We can't wait to meet our little one!

3 Year Anniversary and Keith Urban

This picture is my favorite!!

Jason and I at Pirhanna's on our anniversary

Jason and I celebrated 3 years together on July 1st. That night, we went to dinner at Pirhanna's and then came home to watch our wedding video. It is always fun to watch it and think of how much fun we had with all of our friends and family.
A couple of months ago Jason and I went to a fundraiser for our friend's daughter's school. They had an auction that night and Jason and I won a night's stay at the W Hotel in Dallas and Keith Urban concert tickets. So this past Saturday that's what we did-this was our anniversary gift to each other. The hotel was very nice; we went swimming when we first got there. Then we went to Chili's for dinner and then went back to the hotel to get ready for the concert. We had really good seats and Keith was awesome! At one point, he came into the section we were sitting in, probably less than 10 rows from us and sang! I was able to get down into the aisle and get some good pictures of him. I am posting my favorite shot of him with his blue guitar! Jason and I really enjoyed ourselves.

30 Weeks and Right on Schedule

As you can clearly see from the picture, I am continuing to grow! Last Friday was my 30 week appointment with Dr. Duran. I always weigh myself first thing, and I have lost 2 lbs. When Dr. Duran came in, we first discussed my diabetes and blood sugar numbers. She said that my numbers looked great and the reason for my weight loss is the diet I am on. She also said that I was borderline diabetic so she has no concerns for me or Logan. If my numbers were high, then there would be need to worry and start medication. But, I am controlling it all with my diet-I am very proud of myself. Dr. Duran also said that I don't have to go back for another 2 weeks, so my next appointment is next Thursday morning. My belly measured eaxactly 30 and she said I am right on schedule. I will have one more sonogram at 36-37 weeks, to get an idea of how big Logan is. He will not be coming any sooner than 39 weeks, unless he does so on his own. Once I reach 39 weeks, Dr. Duran will see how I am doing. She knows that I really do not want to be induced (I plan to go as natural as I can), but she did say that she probably will not let me go past 40 weeks. Logan continues to move around a lot and sometimes it feels so weird, especially when part of my stomach gets rock hard. Auntie Lauren came over last Friday and I was trying to get him to move for her, but then she freaked out and didn't want to feel him. My mom will be here Friday, so I hope he moves around a lot for her! I also have 2 baby showers this weekend, so I am definately looking forward to getting some more gifts for our precious boy. Be looking for lots of pictures this weekend!

4th of July

Our family photo taken by the river at Melvin's

OK, so I am a little behind on my posts, so I am catching up today. We had a very busy 4th of July this year. First, we hung out with Jason's cousins, Daniel and Beth and Melissa and Dave. We celebrated Daniel's 30th birthday at his mom's apartment and went swimming and ate hamburgers and yummy cake. That evening we headed out to Uncle Melvin's place for a fish fry. Since I have to watch what I eat, Jason grilled me a delicious piece of salmon. We took Mocha with us and she really had a good time getting to walk around and see all the kids. Daniel's kids, Sophia and Sam just love her. Daniel's wife, Beth is also pregnant right now and is due one week before me, so we took a belly picture. After Melvin's we went over to Mark and Perla's house (Jason's friends) and enjoyed a nice fireworks show. Mocha actually liked them and was not scared at all. She would follow them up into the air and watch them pop open. Then Jason played some water volleyball and then we went home. It was a very long day and I was extremely tired; I think Logan was too because he didn't move around much for the 2 days following that! Anyway, I have posted some pictures so enjoy!

4D Sono

The lady said he is right up against my uterus, so his nose looks smashed in

I love how his mouth is in this one!

Mommy's little boy- do you think he looks like me?

Yep! Definately a boy!
We had our 4D sono done tonight. Logan wasn't cooperating too well. He wouldn't move his arms out of his face, so the tech got the best pics she could :) I think they still look pretty cute :) She thinks he looks like his mommy. Logan is in the head down position and his legs are up by my ribs. Enjoy the pics and videos!
